A Lil Makeup Haulin

First of all Bourjouis was having a 3for2 offer so I took advantage of that. The first thing I chose was a 3D effect lipgloss in shade 6. A gorgeous red with a really good colour payoff. £6.99

Lovee It!!!!!!

The second item was the highlighter in Rose Essentiel. (I think thats how you spell it) £7.99

This is a really versitile product, I will be using it on my cheeks, under my brows and in my inner corners to open up my eyes.

The final item from bourjouis is their new Delice de Soleil. Its a two in one foundation and bronzer. £9.99

I like the fact you can choose the amount of foundation and bronzer you use. Also once you're finished using it you can cover it over and wont spill everywhere.

Finally I grabbed the new Rimmel face primer as I was heading to the till. It's at an introductory price for £4.99 which will soon be £6.99 so snatch it up now. I have only used it on my hand but it was incredibly smooth and even and definitley matifying. I am really looking forward to trying this under a foundation.

That's it, I hope you enjoyed it.

5 Drugstore Concealers

As I was rumaging through my makeup collection I noticed by fastly expanding concealer collection most of which are from the drugstore. I thought I would share with you my thoughts on 5.

In no particular order: #1 Garnier Roll-on Anti Dark Circles £8

I reall love the roller ball. This concealer blends really well and is fantastic for under eye circles. This concealer comes in many different shades, the one I have is light-medium. The only downside to the packaging is that the colour is not written on it so if you owned a few in different colours it would be quite tricky to tell them apart. Other than that I cannot fault this concealer for the price, packagin and quality.

9/10

#2: Borjouis Healthy Mix Concealer £7.99

(Sorry for the rubbish photo)

This is my favourite concealer for blemishes, it's thick but easy to blend and doesn't look cakey. They have loads of colours and I found my perfect match in shade 53. The downside to this product is the packaging, with the squeezy tube I always squeeze out far too much as a little goes a long way.  However, this would be my number one as it covers blemishes flawlessy and works great undereyes.

#3: Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.99

This concealer has recieved alot of hype and personally I don't like it. I bought this thinking it would be the best thing since sliced bread but I don't think it's that good. It leaves my blemishes dry and flaky which makes them look worse and it's very difficult to blend so it pulls the skin around my eye when blending. There is only four colours and I have Shade 2, Light. I think if you had very dark skin there wouldn't be a colour suitabl which is a downside. Overall this is probably suited more to oily skin but I don't love it.

5/10

#4: Loreal Touch Magnique Concealer £7.19

This is an undereye lightening concealer. It does what it says on the tin, nothing else. I like the brush applicator and it is easy to blend. I would say the price is a bit much for what it is. That's really all I have to say about it.

5/10

#5: No7 Calm and Conceal Concealer £9.99

The most of expensive of the bunch. This one is unique as it has an anti redness treatment on one half. This is a great handbag concealer for an emergency when horrible pimples show up. Unfortunatley it only comes in one shade which is medium. Pale or dark skin tones would not be able to use this which is a shame. The coverage is really good and the redness soloution works suprisingly. Definitley pick this up when Boots are giving out their five pound vouchers. Snatch this little baby up for a fiver.

In The Red

I have been on the never ending search for the perfect red lipstick and I think I may have found it in Revlons Matte Lipstick "In The Red" It's a gorgeous red with a cherry undertone which I think is really flattering.

(Sorry for the smudgy application)

It is incredibly opaque and easy to work with and has amazing staying power. It is very very very bright so it takes a bit of courage to wear this but paired with a neutral outift and neutral eyemakeup it brings a gorgeous pop of colour to anyones look. Priced at £8 it will be in most peoples budget so definitley check it out next time you're in Boots or Superdrug.

Are you brave enough to wear this?

Prime time

Two of my favourite primers for eyeshadow is Mac paint pots and Benefit creaseless cream shadows.
I tried to find two colours that are sort of similar and that is Mac Bare Study and Beneft Bunny Hop.
They both retail for £13.50. Mac comes with 5g of product whereas Benefit only give 4.5g so Mac is better value for money.

Bunny hop is a peachy pink with an iridescent purple blue shimmer. It is a very thin consistency and blends really well.
Bare Study is a nudish gold champagne colour. In some lights is could almost be a rose gold colour. It blends really well and lasts a long time.

As you can see they both have a shimmer and they can be worn under eyeshadow but look equally as good by themselves.

My personal favourite is Mac Bare study purely because I find the colour looks flattering on all skin tones. The peachy colour in Bunny Hop sometimes makes my eyes look a bit red which looks like an unappealing eye infection!!! These little pots of gorgeousness will last forever so they are definitley worth the money and are a staple item in my makeup collection.

So alike yet so different

Creme Cup VS Hue

Same packaging. Sleek and chic.

Left Creme Cup, Right Hue

Creme cup is a lovely mid toned wearable barbie pink.
Hue is very similar with a hint of peach rather than pink.

Creme Cup, Hue

Creme cup is much more opaque than hue which gives a hint of colour to the lips.
They look very similar on and there really is no need to own both however they are my most worn lipsticks and despite the high price tag at £13.50 they are definitley worth it.

Which one would you choose?
