The Current Face

Hi everyone, I thought I would do a quick post showing you the makeup I use on a daily basis. I have a pretty early start for work (6am!!!!) so I have condensed the products I use down to the essentials and have got applying a full face of makeup quickly down to a fine art. It usually takes about 5-6 minutes.
For Primer I use the Clinique City Block Sheer, it's a sunscreen and primer in one, I'm all for these dual purpose products. It is oil free which I love and it does make my foundation last a lot longer.
I started my working life with foundation but quickly realised it took too much time so swiftly moved onto my favourite product, the BB cream. This is the oil free one from Garnier and it is superb. A lightweight formula that gives enough coverage, doesn't dry out my skin and gives a healthy glow. My current tube is about to run out so I am making a bee line for Superdrug to stock up!
You'll notice that I haven't included a powder and that's because I don't need one, by using an oil free primer and BB cream my face has a nice glow without looking oily. It's fantastic as it's one less thing I need to do in the morning!
Bronzer is still the same, Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel, it's a beautiful cream bronzer that I apply with my Real Techniques stippling brush. I only need a small amount to give me a sun kissed glow. I use this product all year round and although it comes with a hefty price tag I am so glad I splurged because it's the only bronzing product I use.
My blusher changes quite frequently but currently its Cedar Rose from Lancome. It's just a nice natural colour for every day wear.
For my eye look I always mix a few colours together from my Too Faced Naked Eye palette. All these colours compliment each other so I don't have a set look I go for.
Mascara is the Covergirl lash blast fusion, I got sent this in a swap from the USA so unfortunately I'm unable to repurchase this. However, it is an amazing mascara and I am really enjoying using it.
For my brows I am still using my Clinique superfine liner in soft brown. This is my 3rd one and it's just amazing! That's all there is to say.
Finally for lips I always prep them with a blistex lip balm. This is super duper moisturising and I wouldn't be without it now (In my opinion its better than carmex or vaseline) To top it off I use Creme Cup lipstick from MAC. Just a beautiful mid toned pink that compliments everything.

I hope you've enjoyed this post, I may try to do one of these every few months.
What are your staple makeup products???

Where Have I Been?!?!?!?

Hi Everyone,

I am well aware that I have been absent for well over 6 months which I do apologise for but September last year was a pretty crazy month for me and from then on I haven't had time to think let alone give my blog and YouTube channel the attention they deserve.
Let me start of by saying I am not planning to return to YouTube for the foreseeable future, however, I am going to try my hardest to post here as much as I can.
With all that being said I thought I would just do a picture post showing you what's been going on since September.

We got a new collie puppy called Robbie he's now a big boy (see below)

I performed in a dance show in our main theatre, (I'm the one doing the walkover)

I joined a local youth group and made some amazing new friends

I went to Alton Towers for a day trip and conquered my fears of Roller Coasters (I still look pretty terrified in this photo, I'm on the left)

I bought inspirational quotes for my bedroom so every morning I wake up and am motivated for the day ahead.

Also.....

1. I passed my driving test (first time) 2. Got a Job with an amazing company and am working with some incredibly lovely people. 3. Finished my 1st year of my Uni degree with the Open University .4. I'm turning 18 in a few weeks so have got an amazing birthday planned that I'll remember for the rest of my lift. 5. I completed my Silver Duke of Edinburgh award. 6. I grew another inch (Now 5" 7)

I have been incredibly blessed the past six months and despite ups and downs, it has been full of excitement, fun and a lot of hard work!!!

I can't finish this post without saying a massive thank-you to everyone who has been returning to my blog and YouTube channel asking where I am, you're the reason I have made the effort to come back and let you all know what's been going on.

Sorry for this ridiculously long post, I hope you've enjoyed it!

LA LUXE: Review & Swatch!!

Hi everyone,
Sorry (again) for the long absence. Hopefully it wont be too long before I am back into a normal routine :)
Today I am talking about a lovely neutral eyeshadow trio from LOOK Beauty.

The range is called Triple Hit and the trio I have is called LA LUXE and it is shade 1.

They are baked shadows and they all have a metallic finish. There is a really pretty light purple brown colour, a dark chocolate and a bronze gold colour. I think they are all beautiful but I wish there was a lighter colour for highlight. The consistency of the shadows is lovely, they are very smooth and blendable. The pigmentation is pretty decent too!

I really like this little trio however for a drugstore product I think it is slightly expensive costing £7.50. However, they are good quality eyeshadows and would be a great present or treat for yourself!! This is the most neutral palette but they have some really fun colours. You can see the full selection here.

Rose Illumination

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been very busy with assignment deadlines and my new job (more on that later!)
Today I am talking about one of my new favourite products. Rose Illumination from Elizabeth Arden.

This is my first product from Elizabeth Arden and I have no idea why I haven't tried their products before. I think their products are stereo-typed for older women but it certainly isn't the case!!
I have been looking for a new highlighter and after much thought I decided to buy the Dior Rose Diamond highlighter but when I went to purchase it it was out of stock. :(
I googled pink/rose gold highlighters and I saw a blog post saying that rose illumination is a beautiful rose gold highlighter.

The DIOR highlighter costs £32 and this is only £23 so much cheaper :)
I have had this product for about two weeks and I reach for this nearly every day. It is such a beautiful highlighter and I can't understand why I haven't heard anyone mention this before. It is a real unsung hero that deserves alot more attention.

Next time you see an Elizabeth Arden counter I definitely recommend checking this product out.

Milani Luminoso

Hi everyone,

Today I am talking about one of my favourite blushers. Luminoso by Milani. It is a beautiful peachy pink colour and the baked formula is really smooth and easily blendable.

Melissa sent me this blusher in our swap and I have been using it loads as it compliments any makeup look and it has been beautiful in spring and summer.
Unfortunately you can't get your hands on this if you live in England but if you can find Milani products definitely check this blusher out.

Glamorous Red!

Hi everyone,

I think every girl spends alot of time searching for the perfect red lipstick. You would think it would be easy as red is red! That's where you're wrong, there are cherry reds, burgandy reds, orange reds, brick reds and loads more!!! As every person has a different skin tone, eye colour and hair colour not every shade will suit you.
I have light brown hair, blue eyes and paleish skin and I have found my perfect red!!!

The lipstick is called glamourous red and it's a colour sensational lipstick from Maybelline. I don't really know how to describe it other than perfect.
The formulation is opaque and creamy and it's not difficult to apply.
I'm not saying that this will replace my everyday nudish pink (hue by MAC if you were wondering) but its certainly a shade I would wear.

So, have you found your perfect red????

Shine Erasers

Hi everyone,

Today is just a quick post talking about one of my handbag essentials. The Shine Erasers from ELF cosmetics. Basically, these are very thin sheets of blotting paper that absorb any excess oil on the skin.

For £1.50 you get 50 sheets and they last a really long time. I bought my first pack last January and I am half way through my second. Obviously, it depends on how often you use them!
You can use both sides so I can make one sheet do my whole face. I use one side for my forehead which is my oiliest area and then I  split the other side between my nose and chin. My cheeks don't really get oily.

These shine erasers have become an essential product and I can rely on them to mattify my skin whenever and wherever.
